It's time to review another Restaurant

This week to celebrate my Birthday, we decided to eat at a very old Stake Restaurant in Merida called El Tio Ricardos Steak House in Garcia Gineres, I can't believe we have lived in Merida for 16 years now, and we have not eaten here before tonight. This restaurant is very old, in fact one of the oldest Steak Restaurants in Merida. The Steaks were absolutely delicious and tender.

To Start we had the guacamole and chips, they need to improve their presentation on this one, but it was still very good, and the homemade chips were too.

And Queso Fundido (melted Cheese)  that was a great start, what a beautiful blead of cheeses, served with warm tortillas.

My wife had the 1/2 Order of  filet mignon in a mushroom sauce, with baked potatoes, she loved every bite, but she loved the fact that mine came to me in a sizzing pan.

I had the Ribeye Steak with baked potatoes and sauteed onions, mine came in a sizzling pan, and let me tell you, the Ribeye was one of the best I have had here in Yucatan, the meat is so tender and juicy.

Our waiter Chucho was very good.

For dessert we had Pecan Pie, it was good, but kind of dry, and they should chop up the pecans smaller..

And one of the best parts were that they have A1 sauce, and I Love A1 sauce.

We highly recommend El Tio Ricardos

I put the menu bar code so you can check out the menu.

The prices are very reasonable too.

Clean spotless bathrooms and comfortable chairs.

La Vallisoletana Vista Alegre Norte Mexican Restaurant

Yesterday we decided to try a Yucatan Restaurant near our house in Altabrisa called La Vallisoletana Vista Alegre Norte , located across the street from the VW Dealership in Merida. They had a Whatsapp offer that if you purchase two lunches you get a 3rd one for free, that we took home and enjoyed it for dinner.

I had the Potato Croquettes with Rice Fried Banana slices and white rice, the Croquettes are 3 to a plate and are large, and they are delicious and with cheese in the mixture, the rice was cooked to perfection, but the fried banana slices were awful.

My wife ordered Picadillo, and that came with rice and some Banana slices.
She said that she liked it very much, but unfortunately  I didn't take a photo of her dish, she also didn't like the Banana slices.

We also ordered ice cold Diet Cokes with ice, and our waitress was very friendly and so was the owner.

They have a section of the restaurant that has air conditioning, the chairs are comfortable too.

La Vallisoletana, also serves dinner in their restaurant in Las Americas, here they only have Breakfast and Lunch.

We always ask each other, will we come back, and the answer is YES
